Fruit juice for diabetic patients

I am diabetic. Is it safe for me to consume fresh fruit juices?

As fruits have natural sugars, and in diabetes, one has to measure the calorie intake, especially sugars, it's best to prefer eating the fruit, rather than drinking fruit juices, as the latter would lead to a spike in blood sugar

Not the fruits with high glycemic index like watermelon.. avoid it! Fruits can be taken in small quantities and with no added sugar
