My 8 month old baby is having diarrhoea from last 2 days
Today he passed motion at least 8,9 times
Already given 3 doses of enterogermina but did not help

Rehydration is must, watch for urine out put if watery diarrhea add zinc 20 mg containing syrups like zinconia once. Day 5 ml and do meet your doctor to add racecadotril for ultra short duration of time to avoid chances of dehydration. Do make sure your child's milk product shall have low lactose content as lactose is poorly digested during diarrhea .do not hesitate to consult

Whenever your baby has loose motions, please do look for blood in stools, mucoid stools (if these symptoms are present, antibiotic is needed). Please see if baby cries on passing stools.
ORS is the best way to manage loose motions, zinc has to be given for 14 days, probiotics like enterogermina or econorm help in maintaining intestinal flora.
Do not stop feeding the child.

Just give him frequent breast milk plus give ORS to avoid dehydration due to excess loose stools.
Can give syp zinc 2.5ml once daily for 14 days to epithelial lost tissues.
To reduce the frequency of loose stools give syrup flora BC 2.5 ml twice daily..
As of now give bland diet as rice kanji..gradually episodes will come down

Assess for dehydration,if taking orally give ORS and if High grade Fever with mucus or blood in stool then start antibiotics.
