32 Hospitals in Udaipur

Several hospitals in Udaipur cater to the residents of the city and its neighboring towns. There are 11 rural districts, or panchayats samiti, in the region. Except for Girwa tehsil, which consists of two blocks, all of the district's taluk (revenue units) are co-terminus with its blocks (development units). There are four nursing colleges, two dental colleges with dental super specialty facilities, an ayurvedic college with four hospitals, a homeopathic medical college with a hospital, and a medical college with four affiliated hospitals in Udaipur City. Most medical facilities are centered in Udaipur City, a municipality with 50 wards, mainly those in the private sector.

Government hospitals in Udaipur included 13 dispensaries, one railroad, two satellite hospitals in the city of Udaipur, and five hospitals connected to medical institutes (2 railways, 2 ESI dispensaries, and 9 state Government dispensaries). Most single specialty hospitals were maternity homes (offering prenatal care, labor and delivery, MTP, cesarean section, and hysterectomy), children's hospitals delivering pediatric care, laparoscopic surgical facilities, and eye or ENT hospitals.
