Sankara Eye Foundation received the 2015 Global Performance Excellence Award (GPEA) for Quality Health Care Services from National Quality Organizations in Asian and Pacific countries, China. For their comprehensive pediatric eye care program, the hospitals were given the Asian Hospital Management Award 2009 (Excellence Award) by Hospital Management Asia, Vietnam.
