(ABHA) Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) was launched in September 2018 to accomplish the Ayushman Bharat mission of Universal Health Coverage (UHC). This national health protection scheme is a flagship scheme of the Government of India.
The Ayushman Bharat Yojana or Ayushman Bharat policy provides a cover of Rs. 5 lakh per family for hospitalization across public and private empanelled hospitals in India [1].
With the PMJAY card or (ABHA Card) Ayushman Bharat registration, the government aims at providing health coverage to vulnerable or low-income families. On the third anniversary of the Ayushman Bharat scheme, the Prime Minister launched Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission to provide a Health ID card that will be linked to all your health records.

Ayushman Bharat Health ID is now renamed to Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA). It is a 14 digit health ID number for identifying, authenticating, and making health records available across multiple systems and stakeholders. To participate in Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, you need to create an Ayushman Bharat Digital Health ID card.
Digital Health ID card or ABHA card promotes digital healthcare. It allows you to access and share your medical records digitally with healthcare providers and insurers.

Visit the official website of PMJAY and Click on ‘AM I eligible’. Enter your mobile number and CAPTCHA to find if you are Ayushman Bharat eligible. You can also call on helpline number 14555 for assistance.
Visit the official PMJAY portal and click on ‘Am I Eligible’. Enter your mobile number and the CAPTCHA code. Then, click on ‘Generate OTP’. Select your state and search by name, HHD number, ration card number, or mobile number. Check the results to verify if your family is covered PMJAY. You can also contact any of the empaneled hospitals or call the helpline number.

To create an Ayushman Bharat Health ID, you need to enter your Aadhaar card number or driving license number. You can also create the Health ID card with just your mobile number.
