Launched by the Government of India to achieve universal health care, Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) scheme is commonly known as the Ayushman bharat yojana scheme. It aims at providing health insurance to the economically disadvantaged people of the nation. It offers financial cover to the beneficiary in case of hospitalization due to emergency. Who is Eligible for Ayushman card?

PMJAY covers the following people in rural areas:

  • People from the scheduled tribe and scheduled caste communities 
  • Families that have no male member or individuals between 16-59 years

  • Visit the official website and login through registered number 
  • Generate OTP after entering ‘Captcha Code’ 
  • Choose HHD code
  • Provide this HHD code correctly to the CSC 
  • CSC of PMJAY will verify your details including the HHD code
  • Representative from PMJAY, Ayushman Mitra, will finish the remaining process
  • Make payment of Rs.30 to download your Ayushman Bharat card

Ayushman Bharat Registration Process 

The PMJAY scheme is for the underprivileged or economically disadvantaged people. This is why there is nothing such as Ayushman Bharat registration process. All families covered in the database of SECC can avail the benefits of PMJAY and Abha.  Note the following steps to check your eligibility for Ayushman card online. 

  • Visit the official PMJAY website and select “Am I Eligible” 
  • Fill in your contact-related information and generate an OTP 
  • Select your state and search by name, ration card, mobile number, or HHD number
  • Based on the search results you can check your eligibility 

To get your Ayushman Bharat card, apply online after checking your eligibility from the Ayushman card list. Following are the documents you need to apply. 

  • Age and identity proof (PAN or Aadhar card) 
  • Income and caste certificate
  • Documents that state your family status
  • Contact details like mobile number, residential address, and email address
